Washed-out Walls of Jeddah #1

Moothy’s color palette is influenced by her hometown of Jeddah with its dated washed-out walls and buildings in juxtaposition with its changing and modernized architecture. Her various techniques consist of childlike doodles, loose paint strokes, and drip painting. Works in this series were created by incorporating a layered technique using different materials, such as acrylic paint, wax pencils, and colored charcoal.
