Misguided Mist

Basenotes is a series that aims to explore the idea of formlessness. By removing the limitation of a created border, Faris visualizes unknown territories that result in works which embody the all-encompassing attribute of fog. Evoking serenity through the lack of a clear focal point, the pieces also speaks to the artist’s experiences away from home, having a faded sense of belonging and finding tranquility in a state of ambiguity.
