Outfall I
Outfall I & II are part of the artist's photographic series Intertidal. This series is a collection of visual fragments of Tubli Bay (Bahrain), where sewage discharge and industrial pollutants pour into the surrounding marshes. While the photographic work may initially appear idyllic, they depict pools of sewage wastewater, mud, dead mangrove branches, and algal bloom. The artworks encourage introspection and contemplation regarding industrial practices around intertidal zones and their ecological adaptation to toxicity.
