Apologies VII
After a day trip to Mount Fuji and Oshino Hakkai, a nearby scenic spot in Japan, Deema and her companions stopped by Lake Yamanaka. Because they did not have much time to explore the area, Deema got out of the car, plucked a drying hydrangea, and placed it in a folder. At the studio, they started pulling the cluster of petals apart and laying them on the ink in an orderly manner. Deema was handing out a flower for each passing moment, and these flowers were then symbolically sent to her previous self. In Japan, the Hydrangea is a symbol of heartfelt emotions, gratitude, and apology.
