Bawa Incubator: Amanda Al-Marshoud: Exhibitions at the Office

30 April - 30 May 2025
Overview
The Bawa Incubator is a new series of first-time solo presentations hosted at the Bawa office. It provides a unique opportunity for invited artists to experiment with the office space, engage with audiences, and establish their presence in the art scene.
This series explores the cultural shift and emotional bonds that are formed and broken during the process of unexpectedly relocating from one country to the other. Specifically, the question of one's identity is raised, and the works express the inner negotiation and resolve concerning one's emotional attachment to a place, as well as being confronted by the reality of a cross-cultural life experience and a celebration of such experiences.

Amanda Al-Marshoud is a multidisciplinary artist with a BFA from Maryland College of Arts. Her works are influenced by her experience in architectural studies, design, and dance disciplines.
