Jasem Alsanea Kuwaiti, b. 2001

Jasem Al-Sanea is a Kuwaiti artist whose hyper-surrealist paintings and sculptures draw on lost oral stories, Kuwaiti mythology, and collective historical experiences to reveal and
decensor hidden narratives within Kuwaiti culture. Inspired by haunting memories and post-war trauma, Jasem’s maximalist creations blend symbolic elements with themes of horror,
offering a unique perspective on Kuwaiti identity. Expanding his practice beyond traditional mediums, Jasem also works in virtual reality, SPFX, and performance, fostering community through art activism. A recent BFA graduate from RISD (2024), he has exhibited across the U.S. and Kuwait, been featured in multiple magazines, and lectured at various educational institutions in Kuwait.

Jasem's work has been included in Bawa's booth at Abu Dhabi Art, 2024.
